Review: Loreal True Match Lumi Foundation

Some of us are prudent in spending especially on makeup. We tend to search for the best product over the internet and make sure everyone else's agree before we make the purchase, right? Others may contest that it's easier and more practical to spend on the high end ones than to spend over and over again searching for the best drugstore product. However, if you are starting in the makeup business and would have 3 shades for every type of makeup, then drugstore would be far more economical.

Today, we will check on Loreal True Match Lumi Healthy Luminous Makeup SPF 20.

I stumbled upon this product a couple of times already when I googled "the best drugstore foundations"And based on some reviews, this product is said to have a flawless coverage with glow. With this, I opted for one. Anyway, if you are wondering where I got my foundation, I bought it from Chedelyn's store located in Pop Culture Trinoma.

The foundation the sales lady gave me is W5 Sand Beige that I found to be darker than my actual shade. So I checked online for the suitable shade for me.  Because I have green veins, I fall under the category of warm. I should be around W3 or W4.

THE PACKAGING. What I like about the product is that it comes with a sturdy glass bottle with pump. Pwede mabagsak.  Plus, with a pump. I can get the right amount of product. Commonly, you will only need just 1-2 pumps of product to cover up the entire face. Lastly, product weighs 30 ml. That's actually a lot.

The consistency of the product is liquid-y and easy to work with.

COVERAGE AND CONSISTENCY. In terms of coverage, it is lightweight and cannot cover up minor imperfections. The finish is dewy and it looks healthy and natural on the skin. I believe it will work best for those with dry and flawless skin.

I have been using this for a week now and sadly, I don't think this will be a favorite. It was only after 2-3 hours that my T-zone became pretty oily and after 6 hours that it enhanced my already oily face (kahit sa pisngi ma-oil) - that's on my forehead, left and right cheek, and nose.

In the photo below, I have a comparison of Loreal Lumi and True Match, I bought the Truematch first. I've read in blogs that they prefer the old formula so I tested them out. Both haven't lasted long. However, when it comes to coverage I find the formula of True Match better. As you see, my dark circles look brighter.

OVERALL. As the labels says, luminous, it is meant to give that radiant look, but ang lakas maka langis. I tried this with primer and setting powder, still my face ended up greasy. Will I still use it? Yes, but only in air conditioned places.
